Summer Season 2026 is over

So the 2026 summer season is over, tourist related businesses have started to close down for their winter break but did you know Cyprus is an all year round destination?

So the main "tourist" strips are closed but what about the other areas. People still live and work in Cyprus and the island just doesn't shut down completely with no one about. There are plenty of things still to do and places to see and eat and drink and have a good time.

We have pretty good weather still throughout the winter months so you can still enjoy a stroll around, enjoy a pint or a cocktail by the sea, visit the many historical sites without the husse land bussle and have a fantastic holiday.

Paphos, Limassol, Nicosia and Larnaca are still mainly open. Ayia Napa places are still open, Protaras strip is closed but there is still Kapparis which is open all year round and Pernera where some places are open and of course Paralimni town centre. The board walk from Pernera to Fig Tree Bay is beautiful to walk along in the winter, watching the still sea, or if its a breezy day watching the waves crash.

The coastal path in Paphos offers a refreshing walk in the winter, alongside the sea, maybe starting or finishing at the harbour for a quick drink along the way.

And if you enjoy the full effects of winter there is always the Troodos mountains to head up to and see the snow, maybe take in a bit of skiing when the ski centre is open or just generally go and explore the beautiful villages up in the mountains.

You won't be sunbathing every day but it is still warm enough to sit out, catch a few rays and get a tan. And for the older generation with medical ailments the winter sun is just perfect for your joints.

Many holiday rental properties are available at discounted rates for longer stays through the winter season, so get in touch with us and we can help you find the perfect place to stay for your winter sun.
